In 2003, the average number of people teleworking (all forms of telework included) was about 20,681,000, what represents 13% of the employed population of the EU-15 countries. (Sibis, 2003)

In Belgium, we lack of national data. Anyway, according to Vandenbrande et al. (2003), 41.6% of Flamish companies implement telework. This raises to 52.7% in Brussels and falls to 14.8% in the Walloon region.
